Leonese language literature is the literature written in Leonese language. It starts in the Middle Ages and goes until today.

The first written text in Leonese language is the Nodicia of Kesos (959 or 974), found in Ardón. Other works in Leonese language include the Fueru de Llión, Fueru de Salamanca, Fueru Xulgu, Códice d'Alfonsu XI, Disputa d'Elena y María or Llibru d'Alixandre.

Modern Era
The Modern Era signifies for the Leonese language a new opportunity for showing that big writers could also use it for writing important pieces. The most important writers are Torres Naharro, Juan del Encina, or Lucas Fernández.

XIXth and XXth centuries
International philologues of the XIXth century, like Gessner, Hanssen, Staaff or Menéndez Pidal, in Europe and America, started to describe Leonese language. Some writers like Caitano Bardón (Cuentos en Dialecto Leonés), Luis Maldonado or Aragón Escacena (Entre brumas) restarted the Leonese literature in the early XXth century.

Today
